This is a cool bunch of developers. The business is large & very successful but the dev team is small & tight. They have offices all over Europe, mostly sales & financial; all the dev is driven from SA.
The gig is twofold; you will find a large amount of legacy; they’ve been around for several years & some of their original products are still running but there’s also a ton of new product, new features as well as transformational work on the go.
They got a few things to offer you. You’ll be in charge of your deadlines; they’re against any form of death-march. You’ll know the CTO (work with him daily); you’ll work hand in hand with the Lead; the CEO & you will likely have a couple of beers regularly – all of these people have families of their own, they’d prefer not to be sitting in the office late at night.
You’ll get a catered lunch daily – the team eats together. You’ll find yourself getting the top spec equipment they can find for you. You’ll find a modern management attitude, meaning delivery based hours not clock watching.
To get the gig you’ll need a few weapons in your armour:
Senior level coding experience that includes knowledge of concepts like DDD as well as DevOps
Strong C# skills– you’ve gone deep – you may have mostly worked in .NET standard but you will need at least a little .NET core knowledge
Big web-based experience – ASP.NET MVC / ASP.NET Web API or similar
You’ve built Api driven software using Rest
You’ll need strong DB Design and dev skills in SQL Server using T-SQL
You’re a thinking solutionist not a mindless beast of burden
