    Description

This is a rare role for a SQL specialist to build large-scale BI & Data structures from scratch.

Client is a scale up, they see data as their core differentiator & looking to build on their current (small) team as their partnership with one of the big Banks takes hold.

With positives both sides of the fence (financial stability + build from the ground up), this is a rare opportunity for a BI Developer to be heavily involved in something new.

You will be working directly with the Head of BI as No.2. You will have a voice, you will be involved from the ground up or from strategy down if you prefer.

You’re going to architect, design and build the operational business intelligence in the short term. Then be involved in the data sciences / advanced analytics that leverage that in the medium term.

You will find yourself pushing standard SQL Server-based technologies now but will be part of the “in memory”, Azure driven mentality moving forward.

What do we hope for from you?

    • An interest in both the data itself as well as the structures you build.
    • SQL Server – you’ve delivered enterprise scale platforms.
    • SSIS. SSIS. SSRS. You know the core SSMS.
    • Ralph Kimball. You understand the theory.

You’ve deliberately gone and checked out:

    • In memory processing
    • Azure
    • Data Lakes in general
    • Data Sciences & Engineering – Python. R. Hadoop or similar
